Anyone looking for a compact, hard-working laser printer for small to medium-sized print jobs that can also be easily connected to a network wirelessly could be well served with the Samsung ML-2165W. The printer sold by Samsung is therefore ideal for use in smaller work groups, as a family printer, or for student-shared apartments. But there’s not much to be said against placing it directly on or at a desk, because the laser printer, with dimensions of around 38 x 27 x 23 centimeters, is so smart that even a small table won’t be overwhelmed by the device.
Samsung ML-2165W processes print jobs at up to 20 pages per minute, depending on how good the prints should be. The paper tray is equipped for 150 pages, so you no longer have to pay attention to the paper size when inserting it. The device adjusts the sheets independently, so the familiar fiddly manipulations of inserting the paper tray by hand are no longer necessary with Samsung. The print resolution, in turn, reaches up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi, so texts in particular are guaranteed to be razor-sharp. However, larger print jobs are not exactly a specialty of the printer.
The technical equipment of the laser printer is similar to that of the Samsung ML-2165W, but it does not require direct access to a network and therefore has to be set up near the PC or notebook. Of course, the printer also communicates with other devices that support the WiFi Direct function, including smartphones. On the one hand, it leaves the computing work to the PC, since it is a GDI printer without knowledge of the common printer languages.
