As the Samsung CLP-510 works with a multi-pass printer, you wait four times as long for color documents as for a black and white print. In the test, a ten-page letter in color landed in the output tray after 112 seconds, while we waited about 28 seconds for the black and white document. The Samsung printer needs 21 seconds to print a black and white page from standby due to the warm-up phase.
The Samsung CLP-510 has a real off switch. Duplex printing is possible as standard. A display makes operation easier, which also clearly displays error messages. You can cancel printing quickly using an extra button. You can only connect the printer to the computer via USB; it does not have a LAN interface.
