The Samsung CLX-3170FN is a compact color laser multifunction printer designed for small offices and home offices that need printing, copying, scanning, and faxing in a single device. It includes a 150-sheet input tray and a 100-sheet output tray, supporting common paper sizes such as A4, Letter, and Legal.
It uses color laser printing technology with a maximum resolution of 2400 × 600 dpi, delivering clear text and good-quality color graphics. The printer can produce up to 16 pages per minute in black and 4 pages per minute in color, with a monthly duty cycle of about 24,000 pages, making it suitable for moderate office workloads. In addition to printing, the CLX-3170FN includes a flatbed color scanner with an optical resolution of 1200 × 1200 dpi and enhanced scanning up to 4800 × 4800 dpi for higher-quality digital copies. The device also functions as a copier, with speeds comparable to those of a printer, and supports zoom settings from 25% to 400%. Its built-in G3 fax modem (33.6 Kbps) allows users to send and receive faxes directly, while the 15-sheet automatic document feeder (ADF) makes scanning, copying, or faxing multiple pages easier.
For connectivity and paper handling, the Samsung CLX-3170FN supports USB 2.0 and 10/100 Ethernet, enabling it to be shared across multiple computers on an office network.
