The Samsung ML-2545 Monochrome Laser Printer is a compact monochrome laser printer designed for home users and small offices that need fast, reliable black-and-white printing. It focuses purely on printing (no scan or copy functions) and uses laser technology to deliver sharp text output. Paper handling is straightforward, with a main input tray that holds up to 250 sheets plus a 1-sheet manual feed slot for special media. The output tray can hold up to 80 sheets. It supports a wide range of media types including plain paper, envelopes, labels, cardstock, and transparencies, and handles sizes from small custom formats up to legal-size paper. In terms of performance, it can print at speeds of up to 24 pages per minute (ppm) with a maximum resolution of 1200 × 1200 dpi, ensuring clear and professional-looking documents. The first page can come out in less than 9 seconds, which is quite fast for an entry-level laser printer. It uses Samsung’s SPL (Samsung Printer Language) and supports manual duplex printing, meaning double-sided printing must be done by manually flipping the paper. Its monthly duty cycle is up to about 12,000 pages, making it suitable for moderate workloads. On the hardware side, the Samsung ML-2545 is powered by a 300 MHz processor with 8 MB of memory.
